February is the month that you nominate and elect your new Officers to run YOUR Lodge next year. Nominations take place at the Lodge Meeting on February 14th and voting takes place at the Lodge Meeting on February 28th. Please come out and support the process. If you are interested in becoming an Officer please see one of the current Lodge Officers we would be glad to talk to you about serving. Each year it gets harder to find members who are willing to step up. Please don’t let this opportunity slip by. YOUR help is needed. A reminder to everyone that your dues for Elk Year 2012—2013 will be mailed out next week. Please send in your dues by April 1, 2012 to stay an active member. AND if you can please send an extra $10.00 for your Elks National Foundation donation. Last year the ENF sent us a check for $1,000.00 to use to help our support of Veterans and Youth of the area. This year if we make our goal ENF will send us a check for $2,000.00 for our work with Kids and Vets. The drop down screen, projector and sound system has arrived and is installed in the hall, just in time for the Super Bowl Party. Due to a decrease in orders our food service for Thirsty Thursday has ended. If anyone would like to start up the food service again please see me. The Installation of Officers will be Sunday, April 1st, 2012 the time TBD. Again we will be asking $5.00 per person to cover the expense of the meal that will be served after the Installation.
